ndian festivals are full of colors and glitter. Now and then we need to doll up into something traditional but we at times refrain dressing up too much for 'not so grand' festivals. So we decided that we sew up some indo-western instead of ethnics to woo up the fusion.
Urmi is wearing a very lightweight satin skirt, with a fully embroidered blouse (of a saree). She has teamed the blouse with a maxi skirt from Zara, which she usually wears with a racer top or other basic western blouses. The bottle-green color of the skirt and the amazingly wide flair adds Indian-ness to her look. Urmi has added a waist-band (also worn here) around the open area to give an illusion of a gown. You can carry this look for a diwali party or for one of the events of a friends wedding.
Hemal wanted to keep it casual and simple. She's wearing this coral colored legging from H&M teamed with a basic white kurta and is making a statement with this gold sequined jacket. This outfit is really easy to assemble, is simple and you could wear this outfit to any of your festive prayer meetings or even to your best friends pre-wedding functions. To complete the Indian-ness, Hemal has put on a bindi.
I think the content covered in the blog is quiet impressive and brilliantly conveyed. Good job and great efforts. Keep it up.
