Tips To Wax Your Eyebrows At Home
Eyebrow waxing is a great way of creating a balance in your face and accentuating your eyebrows. You do not want to walk around with unruly or bushy eyebrows that will scare everyone.
Although it is not really recommended that you get an eyebrow wax at home because it’s a messy process and it’s potentially dangerous given the heat involved, if you’re really set on doing it at home, here is some Tips
- Use facial cleanser and fully cleanse the area that you will be waxing. Do not over scrub, simply clean gently.
- Brush the hair upwards. Use a brow brush to do this; all the hairs should point to the hairline.
- Place petroleum jelly on any hair that you do not want removed. The jelly acts as a barrier to keep that hair in place.
- Prepare the wax strips. Cut them to size as recommended by the packaging instructions. Also, it’s likely you’ll need to cut the spatula too.
- Start by dipping the spatula into the warmed wax and spreading over the hair that you want waxed. Spread thinly and in the direction of the hair growth.
- Pull the strip away firm and fast against the hair growth. As you do this, stretch the skin to lessen the pain involved. Also, apply pressure to the inflamed area as quickly as possible.
- Put on after treatment if pain still occurs within 10 minutes. If you for any reason do you rip off any skin, apply aloe vera gel every day until the skin heals. If you get an infection, see your doctor immediately as you don’t want to end up with facial scarring
